This is our 1 day endurance gravel ride (160-170km, 2500hm) in the Hautes Fagnes (Belgium).
We start together at 7AM. A group start enhances the camaraderie and gives you the chance of meeting people that ride the same pace as you.
The route has a maximum amount of good rolling gravel or forest roads, some river crossings, a lake and a lot of great views. It should not be too technical but a few difficult sections never hurt anybody :-)
To give you the biggest chance of completing the ride, we give you the best feed stations. And the Dirty Boar vibe on the road and at the finish.
If you already have a Gravel Ride ticket: There are still a few tickets for our Pasta Party on friday evening (September 8th). Pasta Party ticket will cost 14€ (VAT included). There will also be a vegetarian option.
The ride is perfect for gravel bikes. But you can use any bike that is suited to ride offroad. Check out our news articleChoose your Dirty Boar weapon
Bring a GPS device and maybe also a USB powerbank/battery because the ride might take longer than you expected. We will provide you with the gpx track 1 week before the event.
The ride takes place in a somewhat remote area. So make sure you take all the necessary tools & spares to handle common problems (flat tyres, loose bolts... and maybe also a broken chain). And when it's wet be sure to bring a spare set of brake pads. Some cable ties might be useful for several things.
You should be able to carry enough food & water to cover, at least, the distance between the feeding stations (60-70km)
We start when the sun rises. So you shouldn't need any lights. But if the weather should be bad (rain, fog,...), we recommend you bring some lights so that at least you are visible for cars and other people on the roads.
We don't know if the places in this list will/can provide an early breakfast on the morning of our Gravel Ride. So, if you want that, best check/ask before you make your booking.
